The first dedicated course in the project was held in Göteborg between June 6-16 (see details below).
The second course will be organised in Berlin in 2006. More details will follow.

The course aims at providing an overview of technologies that allow generation of data (not only) for mathematical modelling of cellular pathways and processes. Quantitative and Systems Biology is an important field of future research and Göteborg plans to restructure its science base in this direction and become a driving force in Europe.
Each day of the course has a specific topic around key technologies. Local researchers will be responsible for organising the day, which will consist of lectures, demonstrations and practicals. Note that evening sessions are possible.
June 10-12 will be an international workshop. Course participants are automatically registered for the workshop.
PhD students from outside of Göteborg will be accommodated in the youth hostel (vandrarhem) Slottsskogen.
Deadline for registration: April 30, 2005.
Confirmation of participation: May 5
Registration fee: SEK 1,500 per student as a contribution to the costs for food and drinks (students from Göteborg and Helsinki are exempted).
The course is limited to 24 students according to the following, preliminary distribution key: Göteborg (6 plus 2 assistents), Helsinki (4), Berlin (3), Amsterdam (3), elsewhere Scandinavia (4), rest of Europe (4).
